Fox 5 News, You Slay Me.
The lead story for the 10 PM Fox 5 News was about Lindsay Lohan’s rearrest. The reporter reminded me of my next door neighbor back in New Jersey. He was all like “Yup, we’re here outside the courthouse now. Here’s the deal. Lindsay has this fancy bracelet on. And apparently this weekend at the MTV Popcorn Man awards it started blinking and buzzing, a lot like the thing at Outback does when your table is ready. We’ve learned all this on Lindsay’s twitters.” It was like he was repeating the Perez Hilton cliff notes his daughter gave him before he went live.
Yes, it’s annoying that this is news. But Fox News knows you expect it lead with a non-news story. They see your “We’re So Over Drunken Lohan Antics” blase attitude and they raise you “‘Tap That’ List Found At NYC Prep School.” YES. They just aired a segment about a Stuyvesant High School facebook group in which the reporter actually had to say “I’d ‘tap that’ - it’s popular slang meaning “I’d have sex with you.”
If you guys thought that just because NYC was a big city we would have big news then YOU SIR ARE MISTAKEN.
